Back again after many months

Well, I am back for those who read this.  My old computer died and couldn't be repair.  Finally I received a new one but couldn't retrieve my blog and etc.  Anyway after much searching finally Friday night I am back.  I just commented on Lynette's Anderson blog about the lovely diary giveaway.
Our lives have been very busy this past year:  son got married in April, he and his wife are going to have a son in late Feb./early March.  Our youngest daughter graduated college and is working at a south Georgia college while the school pays for her master's.
I will be retiring at the end of the school year after 36 years of teaching primary grades.  That does not seem possible that I have been teaching that many years.  I have enjoyed all the students.  I can't even fathom how many students I have taught in those years!!!!!
Well Thanksgiving is quickly upon us and my husband and our two dogs will be going to our daughter's in Georgia for the holiday.  I have not been there since we moved her in late June so I am excited to see her place.  That's all for now  I am getting ready to cut and sew a BOY baby quilt for our new member of the family coming in FEB.

Another Cold Day

Back from work.
Weather report says 4 to 6 inches of more snow.   If it closes school we will be going until June 13....
Anyway, I finished three tags for Allison.  I want to post those.  They are nice.
Also, finish a quilt square for a teacher to share during the cancer walk.
Thanks it for now.
Waiting for snow or go to school.

?Where has the time gone?

Whoops....I have been searching reading everyone else's blogs and getting ideas that I have neglected my own.
I am trying to get a new look but am having difficulties but I know I can do it.
I have also been photographing my work to attach to the blog.
Hope all had a happy New Year, Groundhog's Day, Super Bowl Day (today) Colts vs The Saints and are looking forward to Valentine's Day-one week from today.
See you soon with pictures and new look.

Christmas in the warm sunny state of FL

Merry Christmas to all.
I went to the beach yesterday and today.
My husband, Jeep and my daughter home from college are vacationing in FL.
My husband's family lives in FL so we have always spent some time here during my winter break from school.
It was really needed this year since I have some health issues.  Hopefully the relaxed atmosphere and sunshine will help.
Merry Christmas and Happy Joyous New Year and I will be back in 2010.

Christmas Break

Yeah!!!
School is out.  The students have had sugar plums dancing in their heads for two weeks.
Last Thursday we had our annual Christmas program with Kindergarten, First and Third Graders performing.
My first grades sang two songs about Santa and one of my students was dressed as an All American Santa.
We had two performances with packed audience.
Today we worked and then had our party.
They were very pleased with the treats and legos for the classroom. Each was very happy with their big coloring book.  All and all it was great and to see the excitement in the eyes is wonderful for a teacher.
But this teacher is ready for a long winter's nap in sunny Florida!!!!!
I hope to read and do some stitching........
Bring on the sun!

Busy Making advent presents

I have been busy making daily verses and matching trickets to go along with the verse.
I bought and/or made 25 presents for 15 people!!!!!! Then I wrapped each gift.  It took me four days to wrap and then about a month to look up Bible verse.
I had to have a cat scan today due to some tummy issues my doctor could not figure out.
Luckily it is not cancer.
I will be off from school one more day.
Hopefully the prescription will make me feel better.
All for now.
I am thinking of which project to do next...Noah's Ark from Lynette Anderson or a pillow of another saying.
We see soon.
Grace to you all,
